Friday, September 25 is 9 to 5 Day, so naturally, we’re celebrating the Queen of Country herself, DOLLY PARTON!!

All day long, we’ll celebrate Dolly on the air with her music, highlighting plenty of Dolly with a little extra sparkle.
But we’re not just playing 9 to 5 and calling it a day. We’re celebrating Dolly’s love of giving back as well!

Dolly Parton has spent decades using her fame and fortune to support causes close to her. One of her best-known efforts is the Dollywood Foundation’s Imagination Library, which provides free books to children from birth to age five. Since 1995, the program has distributed hundreds of millions of books to children around the world, even here at home through partnerships with First Nations communities in Manitoba.

In 2025, she also supported Harvest Manitoba by donating a handcrafted and signed bowl to its Empty Bowls fundraiser, helping raise funds for Manitobans facing food insecurity. Dolly has supported disaster relief, food security, animal welfare and contributed to wildfire relief in her home state of Tennessee, including establishing the My People Fund following the devastating 2016 Gatlinburg wildfires.

Whether through direct donations or her charitable foundations, Dolly Parton has consistently focused much of her philanthropy on helping children, families and communities throughout her whole career, and her music and generosity have touched generations.
