It’s a Boy! Thomas Rhett and Lauren Akins Welcome Brave Elijah Akins to Their Growing Family
Big news in country music — Thomas Rhett and his wife Lauren Akins have welcomed their first baby boy!!
His name? Brave Elijah Akins.
The couple shared that “Brave Elijah Akins was born last week at almost 10 pounds and almost 2 weeks early,” adding, “Thank you Jesus this big boy didn’t wait another 2 weeks to be born.”
They first announced they were expecting back in August, but decided to keep the gender a surprise. And when it was time to find out it was Thomas to break the news in the most unforgettable way.
“Thomas Rhett was my biggest champion in labor & delivery,” Lauren shared. “He helped deliver him, was the first one to see and tearfully, mixed with a bit of shock, announce to us all in the room ‘It’s a BOY.’”
Cue all of us crying right along with them.
Baby Brave joins big sisters Willa Gray, Ada James, Lennon Love, and Lillie Carolina, officially making him the first boy in the household. You just know dad is already dreaming up future hunting trips, fishing days, and backyard sports battles.
