Weather Updates

Environment Canada is warning of what may be the worst blizzard to hit the province in decades. Read the latest Public Weather Alerts for Manitoba here.
As this special weather event is developing, this list may not be complete. If we’ve missed anything, please let us know below.
Schools:
- All Winnipeg metro public schools, all Catholic schools, and Gray Academy will be closed on April 13th & 14th.
- Many daycares are following with the Winnipeg School Divisions and will also be closed on April 13th & 14th.
- U of M will move to remote learning on April 13th & 14th.
- U of W campus will be closed on April 13th & 14th.
City of Winnipeg Services:
- All city indoor pools, fitness & leisure centres, and arenas will be closed.
- All city-run recreation programming is cancelled until further notice. (kids swimming lessons etc)
- All libraries will be closed.
- Garbage and waste collection will be cancelled on Wednesday, April 13. Residents are asked to NOT put out their bins
- Animal services are closed on April 13.
- The Brady Road Landfill and all three 4R Depots are closed until further notice.

Highways:
- RCMP will be closing all major highways in southern Manitoba as of Midnight tonight/when the snow starts to fly.
- I95 from Canada/US border to Fargo is closed.
Entertainment:
- The Jets vs Seattle Kraken game has been postponed until May 1.
- The Manitoba Moose have rescheduled Friday’s game to Sunday.
- Rise Against concert at Canada Life Centre on April 14th is cancelled.
- Peach Pit concert @ Burton Cummings Theater on April 14 is cancelled.
- Herb Alpert and Lani Hall’s concert @ Burton Cummings Theater on April 15 is cancelled.
- The Blue Bombers have Postponed 3 events for this week
- Randy’s Road Trip (Pinnacle Club at IG Field, April 12)
- Third Jersey Unveil (Club Regent Event Centre, April 14)
- Grey Cup Fan Celebration (Club Regent Event Centre, April 16)
