How to Get Over Heartbreak: The Hockey Edition
How to mend your broken heart and move on, a five step process the experts have for getting over an ex! But, in our case, we’ve taken them and adapted the five step process for Jets fans…
How to mend your broken playoff heart and move on
1)Accept that the relationship is over. No pity parties and no raging at the refs anymore, the relationship is done.
2)Spend some time alone. Don’t jump into a new relationship to fill the void…work on you before you find someone new…so give yourself four days until the Goldeyes home opener! Better work on you quick!
3)Give yourself time to grieve. Talk to friends and family you trust, they’re there for you. And in this case, they’re going through the same thing! So, you can all have a good cry and wipe your tears on your jerseys together
4)Build up your self confidence and do some self improvement. Look into the mirror and say, “I’m good enough, I’m smart enough, and gosh darn-it, people love me”.
5)Have a positive attitude, be ready to tackle the future, and be willing to trust again…because it’s only approximately 120 days until the next Jets season begins! The experts say don’t get back together with your ex, but in 120 days, we’ll be ready to date again. And next time, there’ll be some shiny silver in the relationship!
