Chimpanzee’s Playing Hockey

Just recently, Thomas Steen shared a video on his Facebook page from the movie MVP (Most Valuable Primate). The former Winnipeg Jet and father of Stanley Cup Champion, Alex Steen, knows a good hockey player when he sees one. Jack the Chimpanzee was featured in the film as a hockey playing chimpanzee who joins a Junior hockey team. MVP was released back in 2000. HOW DID I MISS THIS FILM?  I had no idea chimpanzees could not only skate, but actually be pretty decent at it. If Jack can do it, all of them can do it, just look at the Planet of the Apes quote “Ape Together Strong”. Proof:

So if this is something they were learning 20 years ago, what do you think they’re doing now??!!! Probably basketball. I mean those contracts for NBA players are getting ridiculous, so if I’m a monkey that can learn to do anything, I’m going for the money.

You’ll have to get them away from the ping pong tables first.
