What’s open, closed, and changing for the holidays
Everything is running on its usual hours for this week, but Christmas Eve is on Monday (yes, already) and that’s when things are going to start changing up a bit. So here’s some things you may need to know for Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day.
Brady landfill will be closed Dec. 25 and Jan. 1, so there will be NO GARBAGE AND RECYCLING collection those days.
Winnipeg Transit
The Winnipeg Transit winter schedule is ALREADY in effect for these routes: 31 Keewatin Express, 36 Northwest Super Express, 75 Crosstown East, 76, 44 Grey, 45 Talbot, 28 Brookside Express 46 Transcona Express, 72, 74 Kenaston, 78 Waverley, 96, and 40 All Seasons Express,.
City services
Animal Services Agency is closed on Dec. 25, Dec. 26 and Jan. 1.
The Parking Authority is closed on Dec. 25, Dec. 26 and Jan. 1. (Does this mean we can park ANYWHERE!?) On Dec. 24 it’s open 8:30 a.m. to noon.
City hall and administrative offices will be closed Dec. 25, Dec. 26 and Jan.1.
Liquor Marts
All Winnipeg and Brandon Liquor Marts are open 8 to 6 on Dec. 24, closed on Dec. 25 and Jan. 1, and open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Dec. 26.
All rural Liquor Marts are open 9 to 6 on Dec. 24, closed Dec. 25 and Jan. 1, and open 10 to 6 on Dec. 26.
And basically all malls are open Christmas Eve, Closed Christmas and New Year’s Day, and back open on Boxing Day.
