90 Students from 8 Schools head to FortWhyte Alive Thursday!
FortWhyte comes ALIVE Tomorrow! 90 High school students from 8 schools will be there to study. They’ll be there to learn how to protect Manitoba’s Clean Water; reviewing water issues affecting fish, aquatic invertebrates, chemistry and the rising prevalence of pollution , watersheds and first nations connections to this life giving liquid.
It’s called Freshwater Ecology Day , where students will have the luxury of learning from the very best minds. OUTDOOR learning stations will be led by educators and experts from various departments; the International Institute for Sustainable Development for Experimental lakes , Manitoba Conservation , U of M Natural Resources Department South Central Eco institute and Lake Winnipeg Foundation.
Organizers promise many motivating moments for the 90 students involved. This is the Future Generation we’ll depend on , taking responsibility to protect and keep our precious water CLEAN!
